William Henry Harrison 9th President
William Henry Harrison was born on February 9, Berkeley, Virginia. His father signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, and he himself was also a military leader. He served in the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811 in the Indiana Territory. Harrison was the first president to die in office and served the shortest amount of time. While delivering the longest speech of any president on a cold March 4, 1841 day he caught a cold which turned into pneumonia. He later died a month later on April 4, 1841. His vice president John Tyler became president.
