Woodrow Wilson 28th President
Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28, 1856 in Staunton, Virginia. He was the son of a Presbyterian minister. Wilson was inaugurated on March 4, 1913. He did his best to keep the United States out of World War 1, however no matter how hard he tried it was unavoidable. Wilson was re-elected on Mach 5, 1917. In 1919, Wilson suffered a stroke. From that point on his wife Edith took control of the White House. The war ended near the end of Wilson's terms as president. Also in 1919, the Prohibition act was started. This meant that no alcohol could be served legally. In 1920, woman's suffrage was a success and women finally had the right to vote. Wilson died on February 3, 1924 in Washington D.C..
